Application:
Vehicles launched from 2018 onwards, and all manufactured from 2020 in Brazil, from the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group (FCA - FIAT, CHRYSLER, JEEP, DODGE, RAM and Stellantis) are equipped with the Security Gateway Module (SGM / SGW). This module isolates most diagnostic requests for all non-original scanners.

Some functions of the FCA -12 + 8 adapter cable:
- Key programming and odometer adjustment via OBDII; (Provided your equipment has this option).
- Can be used with other diagnostic devices to read and clear DTCs (Fault Codes)
Since it is an application for non-original equipment.
This cable can only be used to read fault codes, VIN identification.
Due to various limitations and applications, this cable generally allows the professional to
read the car's systems.

How to use the FCA 12 + 8 universal adapter:
1. Locate and disconnect the 12 PIN and 8 PIN connectors from the SGW module.
2. Connect the FCA 12 + 8 universal adapter directly to the 12 Pin and 8 Pin connectors in the car (two
connectors that were connected to the SGW) Sound system.
This way normal communication with the car can be achieved.
