Application:
Vehicles released from 2018 onwards, and all manufactured from 2020 onwards in Brazil, from the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group (FCA - FIAT, CHRYSLER, JEEP, DODGE, RAM and Stellantis) are equipped with the Security Gateway Module (SGM / SGW); this module isolates most diagnostic requests for all non-original scanners.

Some functions of the FCA 12+8 adapter cable:
- Key programming and odometer adjustment via OBDII (provided your equipment has this option).
- Can be used with other diagnostic devices to read and clear DTCs (Fault Codes).
Since it is an application for non-original equipment:
This cable can only be used to read fault codes and chassis number (VIN) identification.
Due to various limitations and applications, this cable serves as a generic tool for professionals to
perform reading of the vehicle's systems.
Isolating the SGM / SGW system.

How to use the FCA 12+8 universal adapter:
1. Locate and disconnect the 12-PIN and 8-PIN connectors from the SGW module.
2. Connect the FCA 12+8 universal adapter directly to the 12-pin and 8-pin connectors in the car (the two
connectors that were connected to the SGW).
In this way, normal communication with the car can be achieved.

CAN FD GM Adapter Cable for X-431

The GM CAN FD ADAPTER was developed to allow X-431 Pro, X431 PAD III, and X431 Pro GT products to communicate with newer GM vehicles equipped with a CAN FD communication network.

Application
